problem with yahoo mail

I can not open yahoo mail on my computer. it will open on any other of my computers but not this one and there is no problems with the computer opening up any other.

 

What browser are you using, and have you ever opened Yahoo Mail on that computer before?

 

never opened yahoo mail befor on it and it is internet explorer.

 

OK...from IE go <Tools>, <Internet Options>, <Privacy Tab>, then click <Sites> button. Check in the list of Managed Web sites that Yahoo isn't listed under "Block". If it is, then click on that entry and then click the "Remove" button.

If it isn't listed, add the URL in "Address of Web Site" line, and click "Allow" button. Close IE....re-open and try again to access email. Let us know how you get on.

 

still does not work what about internet options, advanced tab could it be any thing in there.

 

What happens when you try to open it? Do you get an error message of any kind? What firewall are you running?

 

I get a page can not display. no errors.
i am using windows firewall.

 

Are cookies set to "allow" ?

 

I opened gpedit and enabled security options in IE. Howver, i still can't open yahoo mail. There are some kind of restrictions on the computer that we can't circumvent. Even after changing the internet zone security level to low yahoo mail still didn't work. The pc is running WINXP Pro SP2.
