Problems Burning Movies With Nero

I have had a lot of problems burning movies that I have saved on my computer using Nero 6.0 Ultra Edition I just bought the program to get some of these files off the computer and save them to DVD-R so I can watch them on the DVD player hooked up to my TV. at first I tried using burn at once that didn't work so I tried with the box unchecked (finding out that worked for some people) after the file is done being converted and before it starts to write to disk the burner pops open and the program says that the burn prosess failed......
can some one please help me I just spent $85.00 on this program just to burn these movies.

 

What does the Nero Info Tool say and do you have the error log?

 

is it possible you have non-dvd authoring dvd's? look at the dvd recordable media: is there a really slight ring of data about .163 inches from the beginning (inside) and .01" wide? if so, it's not meant for dvd-video.

you can circumvent that with many dvd writing software like elaborate bytes clonedvd

 

Yeh there does look like there is a little ring on the inside of the disk but I'm using FujiFilm DVD-R for data and video 4.7GB/120 Min 8x Write Speed

Yeh I tryed to burn an .AVI file onto disk with out burn at once, the file went through the first prosses before it burns onto disk then the DVD drawer pops open I pushed the rawer back in and the program just hangs, no message this time I let it sit for about a hour to see if any thing would happen but I ended up just shutting down the program via task manager (cpu usage was 100% ) Any ideas or mabee another program to use?

 

Can anyone help me with this or give me an idea of what program might be better to use to get the movie files onto a DVD?

"What does the Nero Info Tool say and do you have the error log?"

Your reply was "I'll post the Nero log later I'm at work now"

As you haven't posted the log, and completely ignored any help I offered, I assume you don't want nor need help, or at least mine anyway.
