    Please someone help me,
Just recently I have had two xp computers do this, and I am not too computer savvy so I really need some help. The first computer wouldn't start and the blue screen came. But somehow it went away after a while. The second has the same problem, that hasn't gone away. Each time it dumps the memory and at the end says "Contact the system administrator or technical support group for further assistance." I'd like to forego that because I'm in China and one of the computers is American and the other Japanese. I don't have a windows xp disk or another disk for anything so please take that into account. Furthermore is it possible to take a file from that computer soon, there is a file that I need that cannot be replaced.
Thank you for your time, I really appreciate it.

Your first aim is to recover your data.

First can you boot the dead pc to safemode?
repeatedly tap F8 at boot - start before windows loads

If you can get to safe mode you can recover your data from here.

If not then you can take the hard drive out of the dead pc and slave it to the working one.
Again you can recover your data.

When you have done this we can look into the cause of the problems

It can be hardware related if the pcs are suffieiently similar you can try the memory from the good one in the dead one.

It can occur following installation of just about anything - Direct X upgrade, Norton upgrade driver upgrade..... So what have you installed lately, both hardware and software?

Unfortunately the Rustock Rootkit can also cause this and you will need to head over to the malware forum to fix this. The bad news is that since two pcs present with the same problem I worry this is the source.

Well it is a Laptop to be specific, and I have no idea how to slave a hard drive...Also it seems that I can't get into safe mode, I'm not sure what it means but the message has changed a bit. Now it says,
"Run CHKDSK /F to check hard drive corruption and then restart your computer."

I believe the last update was from a antivirus software either AVG or Zone Alarm. I'm not quite sure because this is my girlfriends computer, she puts a lot of random crap on it. So how shall we proceed.

Boot to your Windows XP CD, enter the Recovery Console, and type the command shown in the error message: chkdsk /r This will run a scan (several scans actually) and will attempt to repair any problems found to make the Windows bootable again. It can take some time, so be patient. I've seen chkdsk run overnight and still not finish, so be VERY patient. You could also boot to a PE CD (like UBCD4Win) to recover your data....
This is from Microsoft about the error in your first post: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/834450/en-us
0X0000007B errors almost always relate to hard drive problems or boot device problems which explains why chkdsk is a recommended course of action. I just re-read your post. Without the XP CD, there may not be alot you can do. You need it to enter the recovery console, and I think you also need it to create a PE CD or the UBCD4Win, but maybe I'm wrong.
    Try these links:http://www.majorgeeks.com/download5710.html
and the UBCD home page: http://www.ubcd4win.com/index.htm
You can also try running the diagnostic from your hard drive manufacturer. Many of these tools include hard drive repair options.
    Good luck.

Well first, off thank you for your prompt response. But I don't have an xp CD. Actually, I may have found a solution, I have a guy at work who works IT...or used to. Either way he and a few others are taking a look, and seem to have a plan. So Thank you for all of your help I really appreciate it; without you all I would've never known what's going on. So again thank you and most likely I will be posting again with some more problems with my girlfriend's computer.
    Thanks yet again,

Well let's hope your IT folks can fix it, if not post again and we can continue the investigation.

This problem has definitely been reported in association with Antivirus upgrades.

Also get them to check for the rootkit it is nasty and gives the first stop eror you reported.

Congratulations on your English it is very good.

Well thanks, but I am actually American. I just teach English in China. But anyway I had the guys take a look and apparently the comp was stuffed with a whole buncha crap that my girlfriend installed. I tried to pull the word file that I need but it didn't work when I took it off that computer, I don't think its a translation problem because I have Japanese on all the computers, but would it be a problem with vista compatibility?(from xp to vista between an american and japanese comp?) I don't know for sure, but I will be probably posting a bit more, soon.

dang Americans - I trip over them everywhere (!)

    :D:D:D

Microsoft have done their marketing a real favour (!) with all the incompatibilities in Office versions.
Office 2007 has a seriously different native file format, but you must be in one of the best places to sort out oriental versions.
