Problems deleting a file

Having problems deleting this file, dont understand why! when I try it says cannot delete HEADER~1.GIF: Cannot find the specified file, I've tried looking for it in the registry but had no luck, also tried deleting it with Norton wipe all, but to no avail, Can anyone help.

Hi Robo, my OS is Windows XP Pro, as for deleting the file, all that happens when I try to delete, is that a window appears that starts the deleting process, however it does not get anywhere because at the same time another window with a black cross on a red circular background appears stating that it cannot delete HEADER~1.GIF cannot find the specified file. I mean its on my desktop, so its got to be somewhere, I've ran a virus check as well, everything seems to be OK!
