    hello,

    I am trying to install,
NETGEAR 54mbps wireless PCI adapter 32-bit PCI WG311

The first step is to install the driver and utility from from the disk. Once installed i clicked finish, but there was a window that came up saying it was still installing.

Next i had to turn of the computer and put the adapter in, which i did. Then i switched the computer back on and according to the manual a 'found new hardware wizard should appear, which it did the first time a tried to install it but doesnt come up anymore.

I would really appreciate some advice.
    Thanks,
    Jack

    ps

How did you manage to fix it Jack, as I know I would have followed the route you did above from Netgear, plus an alternative of not installing the driver software first as they say, but to put the hardware in first then bootup and wait for XP to find new hardware, then install the driver.
