Problems not sure what they are

Sorry don't know where to post this, but I'm having problems with my connection... i have a 10mb cable line and one game i play is "Warcraft III Frozen throne" i have a router with many computers hooked up. but the problem i'm having is my internet keeps like shutting off and losing connectivity... the other day i asked this kid where i can find a site to know what ports to open so i can host. well he gave me a site, portforward.com or something and he was askin me my ip and what ports i was opening, well when i got all done setting it up, like the next day my internet kept shutting on and off, and never stays on anymore, so i reset both my cable modem and router and i'm still having this problem, set everything back to default etc etc, any ideas? could it be someone hacking me?

 

Don't have an answer for you, but with a router/port issue, you'd do best asking in the Networking forum. Not all the techies hang out in the Lounge. Good luck with it.
