    Please help

I cannot post using the REPLY button or QUOTE buttons. A message appears telling me I don't have the correct privilages (i'm using my main user account which is administrator enabled) or that I am trying to edit someone else's post (I'm not. I'm only trying to post a reply)

I'm trying to see if I can post using the new thread button

If you can read this post please let me know!

    JT

    *Yippee! I did it.*

Now to try and find out how to post using the reply button

    Hi and Welcome

If you are trying to post in the Malware forum in someone elses thread then you cannot do this, its by design to stop those questions becoming confuse'd with multiple different questions or replys.... and thus only authorised members can post there.

If you have a Malware issue then start your own thread but do read this http://forums.majorgeeks.com/showthread.php?t=35407 first and attach all logs.

    Hi Halo

Thanks for your reply. I've managed to post a new thread (http://forums.majorgeeks.com/showthread.php?t=134489) but I don't know where the attachments went.

I followed the guide for posting but it didn't work.

I wrote my post and filled in the manage attachments window with 3 files and pressed upload. Everything seemed to work ok but they are not attached to my post!

Apologies for being a nuisance but I can't fathom out where I'm going wrong.

No probs, not a nuisence at all, but when logging in make sure you tick the "remember me" box as sometimes this can cause that issue of non uploading attachments, also make sure they are only in Text ( .txt ) files and no other format.

    Halo, you're a genius!

I've managed to add the logs now so hopefully it'll get checked soon.

I would not have thought of your solution. Not in a million years.

    Thanks again for help

newbie w/problem posting. Went to malware, tried to post new thread:

    http://forums.majorgeeks.com/newthread.php?do=newthread&f=35

    and I get this:

Invalid Thread specified. If you followed a valid link, please notify the administrator

    http://forums.majorgeeks.com/showthread.php?p=1030783#post1030783

searched and didn't find anything posted by me, so I don't believe they went through, yet when I try to start over and upload files, it says they exist. Though in user CP, shows no files uploaded.

    xxxxxxxxx

UPDATE: not sure how to delete post, but now I see my others did post. Sorry!
