Problems with BitTorrent on BT

    Been using BitTorrent for a while now mainly for granddaughter visits on weekend (keeps her quiet)kids films,cartoons.Was on Sky broadband but download was diabolicle so switched to bt infinity and since doing this BitTorrent has stopped working and have not got clue why,am i being blocked by bt cos feel like i have gone backwards not forwards PLEASE HELP dont know what to do or look for in settings:(

    Goldenskull I can't follow the rules

    See if this will work.

    go to Start>Run>type "%appdata%\bittorrent"
    delete "settings.dat" and "settings.dat.old" from this folder.

    Hi

    many UK ISPs are limiting P2P downloads and may have to block them completely at some point, what you maybe hitting is the Fair Usage Policy or BT and look under Network Management and the p2p link HERE

    Plus due to EU Laws and Copyright Law many ISPs keep logs of the IP addresses of file sharing users and the issue of blocking and recording IP addresses of users is a too and fro thing between UK courts and the EU Courts.
