problems with burning in Vista

first post so any help here appreciated.

every time I try to burn a disc on Vista Im having problems.

I get the autoplay box come up, and select burn files to disc using windows, however that box never opens, any idea why ?

it has previously but has seemed to stop working.

Not sure, have you installed any other burning software that may conflict or do you get an error message?

 

there is no burning software on here, previously there has been convert x to dvd, roxio and nero, but nothing now

I dont need to be using any other programs, I need to be able to stick a blank disc in, select burn to disc from the autoplay option and it work

as it is at the moment I chuck a disc in, and autoplay offers me the following :

burn an audio cd with WMP

burn files to disc ( this is the one I need to use)

create disc or edit image using dvd suite deluxe

label a lightscribe disc using lightscribe direct

creat your own disc using nero smart start

make date disc using nero express

make audio disc using nero express


I click the burn files to disc and nothing happens

any idea how I can get this burn process working
