Problems with dynamic buttons

I created a dynamic button:

response.write("<input type=button name=CheckAll onClick=checkall(1)>")

The button is created but when I click on it I get the following warning - error on page.

My checkall function is set up like

Function checkall(ByVal buttonnumber)
Label7.Text = buttonnumber
End Function

Could someone help with with my onClick command?

 

ok I figured it out

onClick=('" & checkall(1) & "')

 

I lied that didn't work it
