Problems with Earthlink's Accelerator... please help!

As usual their tech support is useless. Since they outsourced it I have had nothing, but problems with their tech support. On to my problem... this morning after reconnecting to the internet my wife and I were unable to browse or even check e-mails. I have had this problem in the past and what we did to alleviate the problem is uncheck the proxy settings in internet options in the control panel. Usually this works and we have no problems for at least a month or two. This morning even after unchecking the proxy settings I am still having problems when I reconnect. I have to go back and uncheck the settings again. Do you guys know what I can do to resolve this issue? We rely on the accelerator because we have a crappy connection and just being able to browse faster is a big help. I know it doesn't speed up my internet, but it does speed up the rate at which webpages come up which is a big help. Any help would be great!
