    Hey everyone.

Having a bit of trouble with firefox 1.5. Recently installed the Grippies extension. It didn't work and now I'm experiencing a few problems.

Namely, i have a big grey area on the bottom of my screen that I can't get rid of! (See attachment)

I've tried nearly everthing. Deleted profiles, uninstalled, deleted all reg entries relating to firefox and mozilla but the problem persists.

    I'm running XP SP2.

I'd appreciate any help. I miss Stumbling!

Can you provide a link to where you downloaded grippies?

You screenshot makes it look like your toolbar is rather extended. Can you not bring it down, via the mouse?

Can you "restore down" firefox and resize it to a smallerwindow, to see if firefox itself is an issue? Does IE represent the same thing?

That's a fairly common symptom, usually of a bad Firefox extension. See: Large 'Grey Bar' below the status bar - The Fix - MozillaZine Forums http://forums.mozillazine.org/viewtopic.php?t=367555&highlight=

Most times the things you've already tried would have fixed this, but occasionally it can be stubborn. There are some files in the Firefox installation directory that aren't removed when you uninstall the program, I suspect that's where the problem is lurking.
