Problems with halo

I bought Halo a couple weeks back it installed sucsessfully but when i cam to play the single player campaign after a few mins it shot into the task bar and another box appeard titled exception then inside the box it said gathering exception data after this had finished the error report came up saying that halo has had to close ive updated windows updated sound and graphics card drivers installed the patch for it and re-installed it several times thinking it might be an install error but the multiplayer option works fine its only in campaign mode it does this and always at a checkpoint or a loading point i have a pentium 1.2 cpu 20 gig hdd (lol) 384 SDR RAM and a G-Force MX 420 64 meg PCI graphics card please help this game rox from whut ive seen thanx in advance

 

hi pyrex I've only got halo demo installed and yeh, some demos are renound for being buggy but..
i have a athlonxp 2400 thoroughbred with 512 ddr and I'm currently using g4ti4800 with 8xagp 128ddr and sometimes it can get a bit shakey if i run halo demo at 1280x1024 at 32bit so you should consider weather your card is up for the job i ran. Before i got my current card i used an Mx 64ddr on 4xagp and some games were slow so an upgrade may be the cure but not to want to teach your granny to suck eggs it might not be possible if you've no agp port on your board so to look to upgrade your card might mean a total system revamp i hope this gen is of some help halo is good have you tried max pane or unreal tournament or avp 2 love a good shoot up myself good luck in your plight been in your position myself gaming is very addictive but you must do what drives the gamer in you.

The thing is the game runs in multiplayer very easily and ye i have got ut 2003 and max payne both awsome shooters Little bit of info i forgot to put in previous post is that im running Windows XP Pro ive had ta increase my virtual mem to 700 just in case this helps ppl help me i jes noticed card also its a G-Force 4 MX 420
