Problems with IE SP2

Problems Occuring:
1.) IE install Active X bar no longer appears in IE - cannot run many programs
2.) IE delays character input when navigating, typing, scrolling - slow IE
3.) IE prompts this now when opening cetain pages: "This page contains both secure and non secure items. Do you want to continue?
4.) IE script page errors - some programs cannot run

All Microsoft Security updates are current - system set to autodownload and update with reboot prompt. Most of this seemed to have occured after the last Windows update about 2 weeks ago.
