Problems with IE

    I have a problem with IE. When I doubleclick on the desktop icon it takes forever to open. I've ran Registry Repair Pro and I just ran Ccleaner but it hasn't helped. And I delete the cookies and temp internet files on a regular basis. I'm running a AMD Athlon Prosessor 1 Ghz, 256mb RAM, and Windows XP Pro SP2 with IE 6. And I have 2 user accounts...and it takes forever on both.

    Two things.

    One is more popular. Install more ram.

    Or defrag your computer.

    Some folks report faster performance from IE 7 than IE 6. Have you thought about upgrading IE?
