Problems with IE6

Hello all...I hope someone can help me.I had some malware problems and Chaslang helped me out with them and declared me clean now.I told him I was still having some problems with IE6 and he said to post here the problem I am having.When I open IE6 it won't download all the images,now if I had just rebooted it will load just fine and show everything,but after that it goes back to the way it is doing.It also shows at the bottom :downloading page such and such"...which my start up page is Comcast.net....and it shows the green download progress and stays that way til I close it or go to a different site and it still won't download all the way.Also...it takes a few for it to even open when I click the icon on the desktop and when I reboot the computer,before it closes I will get alot of "This program is not responding,please click end now to close it" and it is for IE...and it does that quite a few times before it will restart correctly.This is driving me crazy and I don't know what to do.I have even uninstalled it/repaired it and still don't work right and keeps on doing it.Any help will be muchly appreciated.

are there any toolbars that are installed with internet explorer? (ie, google, yahoo, mysearch, etc.) if so, try uninstalling them, or just right click on the grey area at the top of the iexplorer window and deselect them (if they are present)
