Problems with internet / browser on Vostro 3700 laptop.

Looking for some help for a problem I am having connecting to the internet with my DEll Vostro 3700. It is a wireless internet connection, everything seems to be connected fine, and is working well on my wife's computer.

However, when I click on my browsers it tries to load for a few minutes and then says that the passages are unresponsive. Pages will not load in google chrome or internet explorer.

I am running a Dell Vostro 3700 with internet explorer 7. n

Does anyone have any suggestions I can try? Thanks!

 

Have you tried to connect to the internet with a cable? (just to see if everything is functioning ok)

 

Yes, I connected to the internet with a cable and it connected to the internet but would not load pages. Eventually (after the third try) I managed to restore the system and an earlier date and things are working fine. I am still not sure what is wrong but I am downloading some tools to scan the computer and hopefully clean up any bugs it might have in it.
