Problems with Internet Explorer

I recently noticed that my address window in my address bar is not avalible (its sold). Here is a snapshot of my desktop.

Now when I go to my view and uncheck my address bar then recheck it the address bar will appear. It's just annoying that you have to go through those steps each time you open a new browser window.
I have the newest version of Explorer. My Netscape is fine. I did just install a new version of McAfee Internet Security 7 and upgrade from 5. That is when I noticed the problem. I shut down everything on the security progam to see if that was the problem but the address bar still fails to show. I also checked my pop up blocker and that doesn't seem to be the problem either. I haven't tryed to uninstall and reinstall internet security yet, I am saving that for a last ditch effort. I talked to a tech and they think it has something to do with my explorer and not the McAfee program.

after you check address bar, do you check lock the toolbars?

 

yes it is locked. Like I said the address bar itself is still there just not the address window.

 

have you tried unchecking the "search the web" box? also when it's unlock you can usually pull or move the address bar to where ever you want it so it shows, then lock it into place, have you tried that?

 

forget ie anyways- u should download fire fox. safer, and i like it. much more stable than ie. get firefox and scrap IE
