Problems with JAVA and IE

Hi -
I have a P4 running XP pro. Recently I have been having problems with opening
anything running java script on IE 6. This is an new phenonomen. I have never had trouble
before.

I have not made any changes to my security levels. I did recently install Ad-subtract which I am very happy with. Even when I disable it, the java scripts won't run. So I am not sure whether this install coincides with my java problems.

Any suggestions where to start in trouble-shooting this?

JVM doesn't have anything to do with Javascript..

Have you tried to reset your security zones? move the slider to high.. apply , then hit default and apply.. then test.

I have tried all of those things and none of them worked.
I am going to try uninstalling AdSubtract and see if that helps.

Update:
I uninstalled Adsubtract and that didn't work.
I reset my security settings in IE and that didn't work either.

It seems now that not all Java scripts are being affected, just a few.
The one that is causing me the most problem is Yahoo Pagebuilder.
It will not load at all in IE.

Just on a hunch I downloaded Netscape Navigator.
As long as I use that browser, the Java script in Pagebuilder
works fine.

I think this is weird.

Any thoughts?

 

You know, I was thinking that.
I actually removed the latest update from IE and believe it or not
it STILL wouldn't work!
