problems with laptop

ok, last month we went to hawaii and took my g/f's laptop (never had any problems). when we got to the room, i ordered the internet (it wasn't free there), and all was good. i uploaded my 1st set of pics, and then later on, i started noticing things (ie. did i turn the comp off?, i don't remember turning it off). then i couldn't get it to turn on, tried it with the battery, without the battery, ac plug only, etc. well, since then i've had intermittent problems with it (i did notice it had turned off on me when we didn't touch anything). today, we thought we'd try it and it did turn on, i was able to run an everest report. also, i noticed a little while ago, that the case fan isn't turning on (i'm not sure if it's always on, or should be?). so i'm wondering if it is shutting down as it's overheating?

oh, and they did refund all of my money for the internet, even though i told them they could prorate it, etc. i thought that was pretty kewl of them.

 

i don't think that's the problem. i typically run scans on all of my computers anyways.

You may want to check your Power Options (Power Schemes) in the Control Panel and also make sure Hibernation is not enabled.
