Problems with messenger

    Hey Guys,

    Last night, based on your advice I downloaded the Zone Alalrm firewall. It has been great so far but for some reason ever since I got it I have not been able to run Yahoo messenger. When I click the icon nothing happens at all. I think maybe the firewall is blocking, but really have no idea. So what do you guys think?BTW thank you so much for having a site like this for us pc idiots.

    Check in Zone Alarm the Program Control menu and if yahoo is there either click the Access/Server ?, X or Tick and choose allow OR just delete yahoo from the list then start the program again and when ZA pops up asking if you want to allow access click Always and Allow

    First of all thanks for the tip Halo. Now... I tried what you said and unfortunately nothing has changed. It may not be the firewall that is causing the problem. As i said before if I try to start messenger nothing happens. I double click and the hourglass pops up by my cursor for a sec and thats it. Nothing comes up. I uninstalled messenger and then reinstalled but with no results. Any other suggestions anyone?

    When you uninstalled Yahoo messenger did you also delete the yahoo folder from Program Files? as thats known to cause some problems if not removed after un-installation and before reinstall.
