HardOCP is reporting that alot of people are having catastrophic problems when they install the new Nforce motherboard drivers.
Does anyone here have any issues, good or bad, to report?
I dont really have the option to backup my system, and reinstalling windows, deleting and reinstalling all my apps, would take a long time :(

I haven't tried the new drivers yet, but hopefully if there are problems, they'll be sorted out and the drivers re-released. With any luck these drivers will sort out the difficulties that Linux has with nForce 2 motherboards.

I also have audio problems, but then with the FSB I am running I expect a little distortion.

    got me the latest driver
and has a list of fixes

I gave up looking for the Hard OCP thread - got a link for it?

There are some IDE driver issues. So far it looks minor for numbers, but major for individuals. I am running a RAID so this is probably not an issue for me.

the info was on HardOCP's main page, they have 2 or 3 installments of it now, updating the progress of its members.

Been running completely stable since about 10:00pm last night. Only problem I had was UT2K3 would not run. I just uninstalled and reinstalled. I think that had something to do with me removing the 3.8 cats too. I wanted a fresh install of the cats after the GART was updated.

    BTW - Asus A7N8X Deluxe Rev. 2.0

I for one don't have any problems, but I play Medal of Honor as well as Call of Duty and in my clan's forums, there are quite a few reports of people that have a lot of problems with the new drivers. They have to revert back to older drivers (slower fps) in order to get it to work. They experience serious lag problems, jerky play as well as a "white out" effect where everything in your field of view past 20 feet is completely white!
I have an Asus V9950 Ultra and experienced the same problem in the past. I had to roll back to an old (44.03) driver in order to get it to work with some games. The latest driver works great for me, but other now have the problems I had with the previous driver. Go figure?

I downloaded them last night and haven't had any trouble yet. The sound seems to be better. Better seperation across the front three channels anyway. And Cashy sounds clearer that ever using Skype. Two thumbs up from me :D

Well, I'm going for the plunge as my Audio drivers messed up, I've got no choice. We'll have to see what happens.

the drivers seem to install fine with no issues
It's the Nvidia System Utility that gave me a whirl, I opened that up and appeared to look complete so I thought I would try to slide the memory bus up a notch or two went from 400 to 405 and hit ok and it froze up than I restarted and all my usb items upon reboot showed up as "not recognized" they were my printer, joystick, and oops no mouse!! put it back in ps2 port and now i got it working but all others were still not recognized and windows said no drivers were installed for these. Did a Google search and found another post regarding the same thing and it had corrupted the Bios and once I cleared CMOS they all came back.
And hey since I am on the subject my MB is Asus K8N-E Deluxe Here
    I have 2 questions.

1st question is in the bios my agp is set to 66mhz but in Clockgen it reports 53.83 and once again using the Nvidia system utility I can just click on it and it will show 66mhz but why wont it boot like that, if I set it to 67 in the bios it says 66.96

2nd question is that this mobo supports up to 6 SATA devices 2 of which are natively supported by the Nvidia chipset (this is what I have my HD on), the other 4 are supported by Silicon Image Sil 3114 SATA controller. now my question here is I read somewhere that the Nvidia SATA controller will hold back my ability to OC this Mobo ANy Ideas? right now using clockgen, max I can get stable is 210 on the HTT setting for a clock speed of 2310. Honestly this thing runs so good I dont need to go farther but if I wanted too...
