    I have a GeForce 6800 GT, 256 mb, 256 bit.

    Full story:

I installed the Omega (Quality 1.61.77) drivers, and on the CS:Source stress test I got an average of 114 FPS, respectively. This provided a slight boost of performance as opposed to my former 104 FPS. However, when I went to play a DVD in my computer, the bottom half of the screen was messed up. So, I uninstalled the Omega drivers and reinstalled the regular nVidia ones. The DVD worked fine after that... but, when it came around to playing games again, I re-installed the Omega drivers (again, Quality). For some reason, I got 109 FPS on the CS:Source stress test. Dumbfounded, I tested it in-game. I lagged a whole bunch more than earlier in certain parts where before I did not lag at all, even with the regular nVidia drivers. So, I uninstalled the Omega ones and reinstalled the regular nVidia ones, and to my surprise I got a 122 FPS score on the stress test... odd. I still lagged in many parts where the Omega drivers lagged, but not nearly as much (20-30 FPS to 40-50 FPS), and in some spots I lagged INSANELY with the reinstalled Omega drivers (In Half-Life 2, both in the areas right outside Kleiner's lab and in the room where you meet that British guy with the RPG). Now, I've downloaded a few programs off of guru3d.com (detonator RIP and driver cleaner 3) to help erase the drivers. This worked, in essence... but when I reinstalled the regular nVidia drivers, I still got insane lag. Another problem is CS:Source... I get 30-40 FPS in the CT spawn on Prodigy, and when just 1 or 2 people are shooting on my screen I lag. In Call of Duty and United Offensive, I get no greater than 40 FPS at any time, and thats even with all the settings turned down to their lowest value!

WHAT'S THE DEAL?! How can I fix it?! It's driving me nuts!!!

For additional information, I have copies of my DxDiag.txt file from this moment and before I even downloaded the Omega drivers. I'm currently running the OFFICIAL 66.93 nVidia drivers...
