    Hello there!

I used this forum once before and I just want to thank everyone here for being so helpful!! This such a great resource for resolving problems!!

I am currently using Outlook Express for my email and my OS is Windows XP. I use high speed internet access through a cable modem, and of course, my cable modem service allows me to have multiple email IDs/accounts. This morning, I was moving some email messages from one folder to another within Outlook Express and during this process, Outlook Express shut down completely. When I went back into Outlook Express, the entire contents of my In box for the email account I was working with was totally empty. There were still items in the Deleted folder but the Deleted folder did not contain any of the messages that were previously in the InBox. Any assistance for how to recover/retrieve these email messages will be greatly appreciated!!

    Thanks again for you help!!

    Warm regards,

    Mike :)

That seems strange... the only thing I can think of is maybe when it crashed it switched identities. Check to see if it is under the right identity.

Are you running Mcafee by any chance?
