Problems with PC/Malware Logs

    This is from my previous laptop that I have been trying to fix for awhile now and it started a few months ago.

    My start up screen will flash with blue lines with exclamation points on the screen. If I try to go into safe mode, the words will be random syllables making it difficult to navigate the menu.

    While using the laptop, everything has become slower with random ".dll is missing" notices appearing.

    I rememeber this laptop being infected with a W32 virus and SVICHOSST.

    During my recent scans fom the malware removal thread, I could not find the W32 virus but SVICHOSST still remained. My compute repeatedly froze when trying to use Combofix in normal and safe mode so I was unable to obtain a log from the program.

    Thank you for your time and any help that can be given as a solution to this problem.

    For additional info, see W32/Sality.ai also see the below. There are many forms of Sality:

    Virus:Win32/Sality.R

    Virus:Win32/Sality.AT


    These types of infections frequently require a reinstall to properly removal all traces and to fix the damage it causes.

    You can try the below tools but I have never seen them work properly:

    I see, well thank you Kestrel for the links.

    Didn't think the W32 virus was still infecting the system but at least I now know what the problem is.
