problems with the task bar

Hi, I got problems recently with my pc when it got virused. When my pc got virused, I ran the virus scanner and downloaded for several times and also downloaded a spyware cleaner. After curing the virus, I noticed something went wrong with the task bar. When opening files or running programs and or minimizing the program, it will not appear anymore to the task bar. And what will happen is, you can not retrieved back the program that you are working and have to re-start from the beginning. I have tried repairing the problem by re-installing the os xp but the problem still exist. What shall I do to fix this problem? Do I need to reformat xp? Pls. help. Thanks, Mighty.

 

Do you know that you can switch tasks using 'Alt - Tab'? Does this work to get a program back?

Also, you can switch tasks by opening the Task Manager but then you'll have trouble getting it back like the other things - try 'Alt - Tab' first.

hi again, I have another problem aside from the below. I am having problems with my wireless connection. After configuring the wireless router, I got connected though but however, I am frequently got disconnected and I have to reconnect it manually even if I am only less than 5 meters aways from the wireless router. My question is, can I lock my connection so I will not get disconnection, how? Or is this a normal case to get disconnected? Appreciate your kind help. Regards, mighty.
