I have 2 computers set up the same and both computers have stopped being able to get updates.
I would like to know if someone else has had this problem, and could it be from an update in January.
I have ran CCleaner, Malwarebytes (paid version), and Superantispyware. Everything I have run has come back clean.
    All ideas would be welcomed.

I do appreciate your help and will give the suggestions a try. I believe the issue started in January after the updates, however my computers do not show anything since October. I try to do updates every other month to be safe, and never do automatic updates.

I have now been able to get everything done that Plodr and foogoo have suggested. Neither suggestion really worked, and I tried something a little different. I was able to turn off automatic updates and restart the computer. Once that was done I tried to update and it took it. I have had almost 4 hours of updates to get installed, but they all were successful. I want to thank everyone for their help, I did learn somethings from this and really appreciate your knowledge and insight.

Thanks for posting what worked for you. It might help others facing the same situation.

It did take a few times to make it work, but it did once I was able to do it. I rechecked everything today and it still works fine.
I believe there was a bad download in November that caused the problem.
    Once again Thanks.

    Update,
A neighbor also had the same issue with his computer and here is what we found.
We first tried to change the settings for updating but was unable to do so.
I then ran the Windows update troubleshooter, it stated it could not correct the problem.
I then went to the update settings and was able to turn off updates, at which time I restarted the computer.
I was then able to update the computer.
That was the only way that anything worked for us.
I hope this will solve problems for anyone else who has this problem, just follow what I have done and it works.

Thank you again because without the link you gave me, because I know I would still have the problems.
