Problems with user accounts

I am the administrator of my windows xp home sp2.

I have another user account for my wife which I have set on limited.

I have Norton Internet Security and have it set for different users and have set my wifes accounts at adult status.

I have adsl and I have it set up so that all users can access the adsl without being blocked.

The problem is:

a) When my wife logs on, there is no shortcut to the LAN for her to access the internet account. This happens on the guest acct. as well.

b) This may or not be related but when I log on to the guest or wife account it comes up with an unexpected error and than tries to access the windows installer and then tells me that my Norton does not have the repair feature.

Please help!
