Problems

    I am trying to install Quicktime and Kazaa lite on a new pc and I am having some difficulties. Quicktime cannot seem to get through to apple(to finish the install), and kazaa cannot connect to the web. The pc is in a building with a hardware firewall. Could that be a problem?

    do you have access to the firewall or its logs??

    it probably blocks file sharing ports...

    is it at work?

    (to continue what Kodo and MrPewty were saying):
    I'd say that the firewall is simply blocking ports.
    I'd ask someone in the know (like an admin. at your location) if they know a way around it... they may be willing to unblock some ports for you if they think your reasoning is legit.
