The ones you don't need are "hijackthis", "Updates from HP", "hpqtra08", "zlclient", "avgcc", "spysweeper", "alcxmntr", "KBD", "hphmon06", "AGRSMMSG", "hpsysdrv", "vsmon", "WRSSSDK", "ewidoguard", "ewidoctrl", "DkService", "avgemc", "avgupsvc", "avgamsvr", "ALUSchedulerSvc".

As you can see, most of them can go and windows will work just fine. Obviously some you may want to keep. For example, if you close the AVG ones your automatic virus protection will go with it. Of course you could still scan manual (which is what I do). All the HP related ones can most likely go, this may or may not effect printing. Depends on the exact printer, they are the first ones you should kill, and then see. You most likely will only need one of them for general printing. For example the update one is completely unneeded.

Other stuff like spysweeper and hijackthis also don't need to be running all the time and I'd kill those too. As for ewido networks, diskkeeper and webroot software, all of that is 3rd party stuff you installed. None of which is needed, it's up to you if you want it running. I'd personally kill them all, but it's something you need to decide.

All the processes I listed can be disabled without effecting windows, although the applicatiosn they are associated with will be effected.

A couple of links for process ID and what app they are accociated with and some will give removal options:

We can suggest what you can remove but at the end of the day it will be far better if you know what you have and make the informed decision as to what is not necassary. That way you can maintain the level of security you deem neccassary and what background apps you want running and use regularly. Always good to sort processes by "Mem Usage" and then you can note the resource hungary and maybe change them with an alternative.

It appears you have Symantec AV & AVG antivirus programs running on your computer.
This is asking for problems as having more than 1 AV product installed can cause conflicts and other unexpected problems.
You should decide which AV product you want to keep and ditch the other.
    IMHO...and I am not alone:

Have to agree with Toni two AV's will cause prob. Also the Hijack This as mentioned only needs to be ran once to collect the log and then completely disabled. If you have the "seed" (prog.exe file) uninstall it completely. You put a lot into it Toni I was trying to encourage an exploratory journey but you have definately SHONE (blink, blink) very nice off you.
