process1_initialization_failed

    I just tried to boot up my Dell Dimension with Windows XP and got an error message: process1_initialization_failed. The technical information is listed as:
    ***stop:0x0000006B (0xc000009c, 0x00000002, 0x00000000, 0x00000000

    I haven't added any new hardware, or downloaded any software - I've tried a few of the things that have been posted on other threads, and I can't get past the blue screen.

    Any suggestions?
