processes again!!

    hi, i have 35 processes running and want to get it down but don't know which ones i can and can't get rid of. is a startup manager the best thing for this? if so, what is a good free one?

    for an earlier post on the number of programs you run, as standard.

    Mine is in the early 20's but my list of running programs is modest.

    35, 45, or 22 may be exactly what you require. Bazza

    Seems to be a continuing problem. As I have stated in other posts, go to Pacs-portal to get an understanding of processes (startup vs no). Further, I prefer a startup manager (I use CodeStuff Starter) to control startup processes. You will be amazed at how many applications configure themselves as startup processes with no benefit whatsoever.

    Check it out - you will benefit from Pac-man's advice.
