I have a computer that has an AMD Sempron Processor 2600+ with 1.60 GHz and 192 MB Ram. I am looking at a program that requires a Pentium/Athlon 1.4 GHz processor with 512 MB Ram.

I realize that I will have to upgrade/add RAM, but is the Sempron processor compatible to the Pentium needed to run this program (Cubase 4)? Thanks!

If I understand your question correctly, you need a 1.4 CPU to run a certain program, right? If that's the case, you already have a CPU rated at 1.6, so you should be good to go. However, like you pointed out, you will need to add more RAM. 1.6GHz is still a 1.6 GHz, regardless if it's an Intel or AMD. Hope that helped!!

That is what I thought but I wanted to ask someone who knew for sure. Thanks a million!!
