    Hi,

I was hoping someone on her could help. I have a AMD-K6(tm) 3D processor. I tried updating my graphics card at this one site and every since have had trouble. I wasn't sure what it was are what to do about it. I just new I couldn't go to some sites or run certain programs. Then I tried to do 3D text for a screen saver and it didn't work, so I tried the other 3D options and they didn't work either. So what exactly should I do? Thanks! Elaine

what graphics card do you have? OS?

Im assuming you tried to update the drivers, correct? have you tried rolling back the drivers via the device manager?

I think the graphics is ESS OO1, does that sound right? I did try updating. What is rolling back the driver?

i havent never had to do it but i would guess it would restore the driver back to an older version.

My brother-in-law put it together. I just don't like to take advantage of him. I'm sure he wouldn't mind helping, but just don't want to become a nuisance. I am using win98 second addition. I'm not sure what other information to add.

I would try removing the drivers for the video card and reinstalling them, you will need the cd that came with the card to do this. If you have this cd then do this.

Goto add remove programs and look fore anything to do with your video card and remove, Go to device manager by right clicking my computer, look in display adapters and remove the video card. Reboot and windows will redetect the card and ask for the cd to install the drivers put the cd in and all should be fine.

I don't have the CD for the graphics card. I found a site and tried downloading from there but that is when I started having major problems. Maybe I did something wrong but I have no idea what.

Yea you probably got the wrong drivers, Find out the manufacturer and model of your card and look on the manufacturers website for the latest drivers for your model number.
