I'm new to the IT profession. Well, sort of. I obtained my A+ cert a little over a year ago and have been working toward a job as a technician. I've kept up my studies and my affiliation with the certification forums I'd visited while studying for A+, but I think I would learn a lot more if I could join a professional organization. Google couldn't find any for me, and our local Chamber of Commerce doesn't have any organizations of that type listed either. Any ideas how I find a group to sit in with so I can hear what they talk about?

You might want to search on 'user groups' in your local area and technical area of expertise. Live meetings will include pros, novices and fans.
