Profile Data Recovery

4 days ago i rebooted my machine ( p4 - xp pro ). when i got to the log in screen and tried to log onto my profile ( admin profile ), i got this error >
could not log in because of a corrupt local profile, or insufficient data, registry
could not read in, read out, or flush a file containing your profile info.

this is very bad, as on my desktop there was about 8 months of work and archived data. im a musician, and all of my samples were there, im an artist, so all of my art was there, and all of my personal contact info, including friends, family, business contacts, etc. LOTS of data.

the reg files are backed up in the registry software backup folder on my c drive, however, i have no idea how to retrieve this data and move it to my new profile, restoring the data to its original, accesible folder format. ive tried the admin tools to copy the data to my new profile, and i get this error >
could not set security, data error, cyclic redundancy check.
like i said, this is an admin profile, so i have all the security rights to that profile, yet it wont let me move the data.

i also tried dumping the reg files back into the registry to see if could find the missing reg file so the profile could load, no luck.
i checked the backups and there are about 50 numbered folders containing all the shortcuts and data from the folders, and their sizes all check out, but not in any useable format. they are all .ini and .dat fies. im lost from here, please help. how do i recover this data and move it to my new profile and restore it to its original folder format?
