program downloader

My downloader won't download any updates. Can you recommend a new downloader?

What 'downloader' are you using? In the past, I was partial to FlashGet: http://www.majorgeeks.com/FlashGet_d461.html, but since the advent of high-speed, I've not used accelerators/managers...

but since the advent of high-speed, I've not used accelerators/managers...What are you using now? I have DSL.

 

I don't use anything other than whatever browser is up (usually FireFox) - I just download the file...

 

If I don't need a downloader, can you think of another reason for my updates not being downloaded? IOrbit and iTunes have been trying to send me updates, but the updates don't come thru. iTunes actually crashed the last time I tried to update it.

 

First, you might dump any cached temporary internet files, in case there's a conflict there...

Are any of the updates asking you to remove the old versions? I'm not familiar with either of those programs (IOrbit or iTunes), but sometimes updates have problems overwriting older versions...
