Program for charts/columns

Hi!

I only have WordPerfect9 and Quattro Pro9 on my computer. (I've downloaded Open Office, but I'm confuzzled, lol). Do I need something called "Excel" to make up the following? (Need something easy and dummy-proof)

Chart on one page
Something where I can have Titles, subjects and blank spaces to be filled in.

Columns, 2 or 3 on one page
Something like a shopping list, only I'm using it for work information done in a column type format, something that I can easily add/modify/delete without the information layout distorted.

I hope my explanations are ok, I can't post examples because they're for work. I've been using Quattro Pro9 to fill all the information in. If I use WordPerfect9, the layout can get distorted if I add/modify/remove information.

Open office has a comparable program to excel, don't know the name exactly but your wanting a spreadsheet basically.

I took a screenshot of what appears in my Start Menu under Open Office.

 

Click on OpenOffice.org Calc.

It is the equivalent of MS Excel and has the features you require.

 

Yep calc it is, had to go look it up to double check. Let us know if thats what your wanting or not and we can try to find something else.
