   WinME: After I uninstalled AVG, did a search & found 12 AVG files in various places. Do I need to manually delete every relevant file after an Uninstall? Why doesn't the uninstall process delete all files from a particular program? Are uninstalled programs & files actually totally gone, thereby freeing up space or still hiding somewhere in the system?

   Yes if you have uninstalled AVG then delete any left over files/folders, and as to your WHY ... sloppy programming!
