This is probably a really dumb question, but I am dying to know, Is there a way to find out the name of the server that a program is connecting to like a game or an automated updater?

Thank you (if you answer me :D) mecroneo

If you have the name, more info can be found at
    http://www.networksolutions.com/cgi-bin/whois/whois

If you have the the IP or less, try
    http://network-tools.com/

I assume you are talking to a game on the internet, so you have the IP, or can get it pretty easily, I would try network-tools for more info.

If this is not the direction you want to head, post more about what you want to do.

you might want to find out the IP addy, but waiting untill the program tries to connect, then typing netstat in command line window. that will give you all current connnections, and work out which one it is.
