Program Suggestions?

Forgive the amateur approach!







I am helping at a charity fundraising event and have been tasked with the counting!

Went to the venue today and seen they have a roof mounted projector.. not sure how good it is or will be in a darkened room but what i am wondering is how easy or what program i will need to do a running total that would be displayed.. I will be using a laptop in a seperate room on the hotels wifi but i am thinking how easy it will be to have a decent "children in need" ish running total? I'd rather not just have a big number projected from an excel sheet.. any ideas, tips or help appreciated

I have Microsoft Office 2016 (If that is useable?)


If it means i have to buy a small program or something to make it look fairly decent then so be it

Not sure exactly what you want to do but why not use Microsoft PowerPoint?
Then you can add all kinds of effects to the counter.

 

If you mean you're looking for something to project images onto a screen this is what we use. https://openlp.org/#downloads. You can use it for anything from music lyrics to presentations. It's also free and easy to learn.
