Program to automatically convert and burn MP3 CDs

My car has a MP3 CD player in it, which is handy, but my music is spread across multiple formats, including Apple Lossless, AAC and mp3 (some much higher bitrate than I need). Does anyone know of any software that will burn an mp3 cd, automatically converting AAC/Apple Lossless into mp3, and my 320k mp3s into something lower so I can fit more on a CD? I know lossless -> lossless isn't a good operation quality wise, but its for a car, which has a very high noise floor so I don't really care.

The software can be for Windows XP, Mac OSX Tiger or Kubuntu Linux, I run them all.

Audacity, MP3 Workshop, dBPowerAmp etc among others, should do what you want.

Those will all do conversions, that I know (I usually use dbpoweramp), but they won't do what I want - I want to be able to feed the program a bunch of files and have it decide what to do, wether they need to be converted, downsized, etc without me having to manually do it for every file. Being able to do something like take all the files and force them to fit to a target size (CD) through re-encoding would be nice too.

I have a feeling that this doesn't exist, so I might write a script to do it (probably perl or somesuch), but I want to check before I take the time to do it.
