I have a 32 bit version of Engine Analyzer Pro which is designed for 32 bit OS. After I upgraded to a 64 bit version of Win 7, the program no longer works. Is there anything that I can tweak in the program code to adapt it to a 64 bit OS?

I would try VMWare and a 32 bit OS in a virtual machine, free for private use.
You can try right clicking, run as admin and choose compatability settings but I have not had much luck with that.

    Hi

Following on from DOA's post above, try this as I got this application to work in Win 8.1 64bit, while I cannot test an engine the app loads and I installed this way.

    Uninstall your current installation.
On the installer for the app right click and choose Properties > compatibility and tick for compatibility and choose strangely Windows 7 and apply. Then right click the installer and choose Run as Administrator and install.

Once installed right click the icon and choose Run as Administrator and see if the software works.

If not let us know of any error messages you get as they may help but in the end an email to the developers of this software is best bet.

I got it to install by following DavidGP's advice. It will not run, however.

    Hi

Did you right click the programs icon and choose Run as Administrator? you can set this as default by right lick the icon and choose properties then compatibility and there is a tick box for Run as Administrator and this will always run the apps as admin.

If not working for you then Win8.1 for me must have better compatibility than Win7 so email the developers and see if they can help, most are really good at helping.

I'd like to create a new partition, install old version of windows and then the EA program. The small partition would be dedicated to EA.

As it stands now, I automatically boot into windows 7 without having to click on anything. I have another three partitions which contain UBUNTU, and can get a boot menu by hitting F12 during early boot. I'd like to add my "Engine Analyzer" partition to the boot menu that shows up when I hit F12, and without interrrupting the automatic (default) boot into windows 7.

    How can I do this??

    Hi

Sorry for the late reply and rather than type out alot of text I have this link that should help you multi-boot Windows and Linux HERE laid out better than I would type right now.

Did not the Compatibility install and run as admin not work for you in Win7?
I would really email the developers and see if they have a Win7 x64 version or will change the installer to help, as the future PCs are going to be mostly 64bit OS based, so its in the companies interest.
