Program within a program?!

Today I tried to open SpywareBlaster so that I could check for updates (this I do every week) and Roxio My DVD DE Windows installer pop up appeared!?
Windows tried to install and configure the above within my SpyWareBlaster program. I obviously pressed cancel which stopped the installer going any further :(
I installed Roxio Creator 2 weeks ago, it is located at C:\ProgramFiles\Roxio but no sign of anything else that shouldn't be in there.

    Any ideas what has happened?
To solve it, should I uninstall both programs and re-install again?

    Puzzled :(

Try running Windows Installer Cleanup Utility (scroll down page for download) http://support.microsoft.com/kb/290301

Also run something like Ad-Aware if you haven't done so recently. Be sure to update the definitions first.

Also look into your Spyblaster folder to make sure you haven't somehow dropped the Roxio installer in there.
You have to be careful with that Clean-up utility as it warns you that it can cause problems with other programs.

The warning is also at the very top of the page I linked to. If problems are experienced a simple install resolves the issue of the software concerned, as stated.

I definitely have not dropped any Roxio into SpyWareBlaster or vice-versa, thats what i checked first :) D/loaded the utility but not run it yet.
    Thanks

After reading the Warning message, I decided not to download ;)
Instead, I uninstalled SpywareBlaster from my PC and re-installed again.
Problem solved, albeit a long winded way :(

    Thanks for your input :)
