Programs installed on different drives

Quick question. I have installed some of my non-essential programs (such as games etc) onto my D drive and not onto the operating system C drive.
If I restore a ghost image that I have made of my OS C Drive, will the programs that are installed on the secondary D drive be affected? (Assuming that the clone was taken after all the software on D had been installed).

Is what I am doing bad practice, or is there no problem with using two drives to install programs?

    sincerely,

    Alex

I'm doing the exact same thing except most of my programs are installed on D (the ones that allow me). Works great for me. :)
