Running windows7 64bit in a Toshiba computer less than a year old. I have plenty of memory left, and have also run ccleaner and defrag. Having issues with IE loading webpages - will always say that the page is not responding. Also even getting into computer programs is slow or non-responsive.

Tried READ ME and RUN ME, but had issues with Superantispyware and Combofix running properly. They would freeze up. Wasn't able to get log for Superantispyware, though I was able to fully run it but then it became non-responsive. Combo fix would start up, but would not finish and nothing happened. The Mglogs.zip file is nowhere to be found.

I believe that it may be a virus or malware, as it just started happening about a week or two ago. I have used the RUN ME process on past computers and it has worked, but this time, I experienced many issues running it, and my computer is still mostly non-responsive.

I would appreciate any help on this issue, thank you~!

this is the only log i could get....

    See if this runs:

    Download OTL to your desktop.

    • Double click on the icon to run it. Make sure all other windows are closed and to let it run uninterrupted.
    • Vista and Windows 7 users Right-click OTL and choose Run as Administrator)
    • When the window appears, underneath Output at the top change it to Minimal Output.
    • Check the boxes beside LOP Check and Purity Check.
    • Click the Run Scan button. Do not change any settings unless otherwise told to do so. The scan wont take long.

When the scan completes, it will open two notepad windows. OTL.Txt and Extras.Txt. These are saved in the same location as OTL.

Attach both of these logs into your next reply.

Ran it in safe mode, as that is the only way my computer will work. Also, noticed that almost half of my memory is being used, though I don't have anything other than the operating system running. Also noticed that my Toshiba background is enlarged - -the toshiba that is supposed to be on the bottom right of the background is enlarged and you can only see part of the T

here are the logs you requested.

I am not seeing any malware in your logs. I suggest you try going to start / run and type:
sfc /scannow and check for errors.

Please click Start, All Program, Accessories and you will see ( among other things ) a Command Prompt entry.

    • Right click the Command Prompt entry and select Run As Administrator.
      • It is critical that you run it this way.

    • If you do this properly, a command prompt window will open with a title of Administrator Command Prompt.
    • Enter the below commands at the command prompt each followed by the enter key. The bold black are commands. The purple/brown is merely informational.

cd \MGtools <-- this changes to the MGtools folder and the prompt should change to C:\MGtools>
GetRunKey<-- this will try to run all one scan from MGtools. Tell me what error messages, if any, you see.
ShowNew<-- this will try to run all one scan from MGtools. Tell me what error messages, if any, you see.

the program \??\C:\MGTools\Itime.exe cannot start or run due to incompatibility with 64-bit version of windows. please contact the software vendor to ask if a 64-bit version is available. (it says this three times)

The system cannot find the file specified adding: runkeys.txt <160bytes security>

    AFTER SHOW NEW IT SAYS...

the program \??\C:\MGTools\Itime.exe cannot start or run due to incompatibility with 64-bit version of windows. please contact the software vendor to ask if a 64-bit version is available. (it says this twice)

    Warning
If you see a pop up saying that:

I think your issues are system related, rather than malware related. I suggest you post in the software forum for additional assistance.
