Programs not responding when shutting down

A couple weeks ago I took my computer into the Geek Squad and they installed a new hard drive. They called me to pick it up about 4 days later, when I got there they told me that my pc was freezing up when shutting down and they were keeping it. They called next day to pick up. Since I have had it home, my programs freeze up. Also when I shut it down these programs not responding come up:

ATI video bios poller client
TPS main wnd
explorer.exe
HiddenFaxWindow

Is there a way to fix these without having to put it back in the shop and them charge me even more money????

Normally I would advise against taking a computer the the 'geeksquad'. But in your case, I would return it and have them fix it for free. I am assuming the computer did not have these issues when you brought it to them. Sounds like they messed up.

Personally I would be taking it back to them as they have not fully completed the job you had them do, in likely install a new hard drive and have your PC fully working, including software.

They even addmitted as much in your PC was not fully operational in calling you to tell you it was freezing at shutdown, as Fred G mentions if your PC was not doing this before they had it then they caused something.

However what was they reason they had this PC in the first place, I note they installed new hard drive for you, but what this a replacement for? a broken one, an upgrade of the C: Drive from your original to a larger one ( with migration of OS and software to be included ) or a slave secondary HD to complement your existing HD?
