@ Proper authorities...Perhaps a suggestion for the thread pages...

I was thinking that it would be handy to have a link at the bottom of the page, of a thread...to go back all the way to the top of that page!?!? Maybe mingled in between the previous thread and next thread links??

You might think I am lazy...but when you get into one of those long ones, and/or multiple page threads...I get tired of having to scroll back to the top to click on the Lounge link, or Software, or hardware...or whatever to go back and see what thread I want to view next!!

After all this time I never knew the Home key would take you to the top. Is there a key to take you to the bottom? I doubt it , but on those Lazy days when your too Lazy to scroll to the bottom of those long threds to read the first post..that would be handy Possibly cure copycat posts(or whatever their called)

My personal favourite though is the "back" button on my mouse!

 

Geez, doesn't anyone ever use the keyboard anymore? Everyone's to mouse happy. Oh, you can use the "spacebar" to scroll down a web page as well.

Actually Rog, there are a lot of handy-dandy keyboard shortcuts available. Take a look at this link, for example. (This one is for Win XP).

Most shortcuts we wouldn't use very much, but some are pretty handy, and make life a little easier. Not a matter of being lazy, just efficient, so to speak.




(Yep, the 'Top' link does nuttin' for me, either.)

I put your link in Phantom, to check out all the keyboard stuff and it got short-sheeted, as always happens at MS with FF, so I copied the link and pasted it into IE and ... it turned German!!! lol Isn't a link a link? I always thought a link was a link. Dern Germans. .... Or should that be ... Dern MS! ....

@ Halo ... I looked at my whole keyboard with a magnifying glass, and there's not a home button. Not even a Heimat button. lolol ... but then ... okay, I found the Pos1 and the Ende buttons, and I think that must be what you're referring to. As for a Home button on the webpage, no. Not even at the bottom right. But the top button is right there at the bottom.

I know, however, what Rogv means. How often I've wished there were a button that would take me to post no. one of a thread. I need this so often. I've tried out the top button with IE, but it takes me to the top of the page, not to the first post. Any chance of getting a one-click button to post number one?

I am completely amazed . . . I have never, ever, even considered using my Home/End/PageUp/PageDown/etc, etc keys before this . . . and my job is pretty much computer based.

Wow. Ya learn neat new stuff everyday . . . I am now scanning my keyboard for more neglected keys . . . . . F3 is pretty handy as well . . . Hmmmmm . . .

 

um f3, im afraid to push it now....
