    Hi

can someone give an idiot proof step by step guide on how to set up anon proxies on Firefox.
Also a good free site for obtaining anon proxies. Or software to download. Don't mind paying, if it is worth it.

    thanks in advance

Heh, for a list of proxies, simply google 'Proxy List'...you'll get tons!

To configure firefox to use them, please do the following:

    1. Start Firefox
    2. Select 'Options' from the 'Tools' menu
    3. Select the 'General' Section (either tab, or picture button, depending on version)
    4. Under 'Connection' press the 'Connection Settings' button
    5. Select the radio button next to 'Manual Proxy Configuration'
    6. Next to 'HTTP Proxy' enter the IP address and port number of the proxy you chose from one of the googled lists.
    7. Click 'OK' to apply your settings.

This configures Firefox to route all the websites you visit through the proxy server you selected.
