PS/2 Keyboard Just stopped working..=(

    im on my friends computer, but recentlymy computer has been overtakin by malware. so we decided to use Malwarebytes to get rid of all of the malware on the computer.so the next day someone went on the computer and all of a sudden the keyboard stopped working. i know its not dead because we fixed it before and cant remember and we are stuck using the on screen keyboard.

    Is there any suggestions on how to fix this keyboard problem? and i already tried re installing the drivers and it didnt help.

    Go into the BIOS and be sure PS/2 is enabled.

    Of course if the keyboard doesn't work (to get into the BIOS) before windows loads you might have to temporarily hook up a USB keyboard.

    usb keyboard wont work either. i dontundernd how to get in bios i cant use any keyboard loll

    The PS/2 port might be dead or the keyboard might be dead.

    Find a friend with a PS/2 keyboard and borrow it so you can see if your port is working. Likewise try your PS/2 keyboard in someone else's computer.

    Be sure the keyboard was not pulled out while the computer was running. That can cause a short in the port.

    Keylogger Removal Problem.

    i recently removed a keylogger from my computer. and all of a sudden after i removed it, my keyboard stopped working. is there any possible way i can get it back? or would it be considerd dead?
